April is one of the transition months in our gardening life. The early in the month cool temperatures means that it will be time to plant pansies. As the month progresses we get in many shipments of perennials. A variety of shrubs will also be available for planting in your yard. The vegetable gardens will spring to life when you plant peas, onions, beets, carrots and lettuce early in the month. As the month progresses, we will have broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale and spinach and lettuce plants. April is also the month to begin fertilizing your lawn. If you haven’t applied lime to your lawn in a year or more, now is a good time to apply lime to your lawn. Grubs can also be damaging your lawn. An application of grub control early in the month will stop the grubs from killing your lawn.
If you have problems with your lawn or gardens, we will help you to solve those problems. We are open 7 days a week to offer you the expert advice you need to solve those problems.
We hope to see you soon.
